Jane Eyre Volnay
"The palate is neatly cut, juicy and full of energy with red cherry and plum fruit flavours"
- Burgundy, France
Independent micro- negociant operations, spearheaded by producers like Jane Eyre (yes, really) are pushing the boundaries of quality. Having first met Jane Eyre out in Burgundy and been amazed her wines didn't have a presence in the UK, it's been a real pleasure seeing how her reputation has grown and a loyal (dare I say "cult"?) -following has developed with attendant critical acclaim.
/Tom Harrow, Honest Grapes Wine Director
“Rose-like florals and a bright array of boysenberry and raspberry fruits, there’s a leafy edge too, with vanillin spice and a lighter herbal and aromatic edge, bright and fresh. The palate is neatly cut, juicy and full of energy with red cherry and plum fruit flavors. Of all Eyre’s wins, this is the one most made to go some distance; not at all heavy, but it needs time. Best around 2020."
