We are very excited to invite you to a truly unique Champagne masterclass with a champagne house that we have been in partnership for many years - the excellent Champagne Frerejean Frères.

Founders Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger started out making champagne for friends and family, but word spread, and they went into business in 2005. They take a fresh approach to champagne that respects traditional methods, but leaves room for innovation.

So we were thrilled when Rodolphe suggested that we host a tasting of their stunning VV26 Grand Cru NV champagne – in 5 different stages of evolution. The VV26 is a Blanc de Blanc with all of the chardonnay sourced from the 90yr old Grand Cru vielle vignes and then aged for 8 years.

This will allow you to truly understand how the champagne is crafted from start to finish….amazing.

The wines to be tasted will be as follows:
Brut, Premier Cru, NV – To start the evening
VV26, Grand Cru, NV - Blended, pre bottling / pre lees sample
VV26, Grand Cru, NV - Reserve wine, barrel sample
VV26, Grand Cru, NV - Taken from lee's, pre disgorgement
VV26, Grand Cru, NV - Disgorged 2021
VV26, Grand Cru, NV - Disgorged 2018

This will truly be a one-off tasting and given that the samples are brought straight from the cellars with Rodolphe, we are limited by the size of his suitcase. As such we will only have 20 spaces to offer.
