Classic old world selection.

A classic old world selection.

Lavradores de Feitoria Douro Branco, 2020: Very fresh and aromatic, with a vibrant nose of fresh citrus, apricot and pineapple. A classic Douro white with good minerality supported by flavours of ripe orchard and stone fruits. Superb value wine!

Domaine Nadine Ferrand Macon Blanc, 2019: "1 ha of 30 year old vines, located on the top of the hill, next to the winery. Lovely honeysuckle and honeycomb notes, white flowers and a touch of cinnamon-dusted melon and tropical fruits on the nose. Juicy and succulent but a rich vein of fresh acidity and great crunchy apple finish. This is a very good entrée de gamme Macon." Tom Harrow, Wine Guru

Antonelli Baiocco Umbria Grechetto, 2019: "The 2019 Antonelli Baiocco Grechetto from a 140-year-old estate near Montefalco, Umbria, is a charmer for sure. Fresh, lemony, peachy and slightly nutty, it’s made from 100 per cent Grechetto, a local grape well known to lovers of Orvieto, and has the benefit of being 100 per cent organic too." Jonathan Ray, The Spectator.

Estancia del Silencio, Jumilla, 2018: This wine offers a charming nose of warm, fruity aromas. On the palate the dark fruits rise to the fore, backed by smooth creamy tannins. Jumilla always provides the perfect foil for a pizza and the Estancia del Silencio is no exception.

Albert Bichot Fleurie 'La Madone', 2019: "The 2019 Albert Bichot, Fleurie ‘La Madone’ from a perfectly sited single vineyard is just so lovely and you’ll lap up the aromatic, succulent, fleshy Gamay fruit. I even chilled it a bit which, it being quite light, worked well. Not for nothing is Fleurie known as the Queen of Beaujolais." Jonathan Ray, The Spectator

Familia Nin-Ortiz Planetes de Nin, 2018: "... This has darker fruit than I expected, with notes of ink and graphite, and it's a little earthy with iron-like notes of blood and meat. It has a medium to full body with some grainy tannins and a long, dry finish, but with very good freshness. They tell me it's something typical from the stony and iron-rich soils from Les Planetes, and the wine needs a little bit more time in bottle." 94 pts, Luis Gutiérrez, WA
