Portugal

Not just famous for its fortified wines, Port and Madeira, Portugal is bang on trend for its still wines.

From the light, refreshing, young whites of Vinho Verde, to the up and coming wines from the Algarve, drinkers are overcoming the complexity of the bottle labels and unpronounceable grape varieties to find that there’s a Portuguese wine for all tastes. International grape varieties haven’t really reached Portugal but, the well-trained Portuguese wine professionals are too immersed in Portugal’s own indigenous grape varieties.
