The Wild Trio
A carefully selected trio of unusual wines. In this mixed case, you'll find two wild reds from Australia and South Africa, and a great food forward and full bodied Grenache Blanc from Spain.
Mother Rock Grenache, 2016: "Very fine, perfumed and expressive with a slightly herby nose or red cherries with tea leaf detail. Vibrant, juicy, pure red, cherry fruit palate is so expressive. Complex, pure and beautiful." 96/100, Jamie Goode
Celler Alimara Llumi Blanc, 2016: a fruit forward, smooth and food friendly white with gentle notes of pears and citrus on the nose and palate with refreshing acidity and a mineral core. It's excellent with meaty fish such as monkfish or sea bass, lighter chicken dishes and leafy starters such as goat’s cheese salad.
Jamsheed Harem Ma Petite Francine, 2017: It's unusual to find a 100% Cabernet Franc in Australia and this is very appealing - quaffable now but will develop complexity with age.
