Our luxury "Grand Tour" around Europe with a NZ white for good measure!

Villa Sparina Gavi di Gavi DOCG, 2019: Full and rich flavour, the complete grape-ripening gives a wine which is soft on the palate with a fine aromatic flavor at the end.

Pouilly Fumé Thibault, 2019: Pale yellow appearance with a greenish tinge. Lime and gooseberry notes on the nose. This Pouilly Fumé is crisp and delicate, with a good structure and a lovely minerality.

Domaine Ballot-Millot Meursault, 2017: This is pure and mineral with amazing drive. I love the energy and density here. Really impressive and long. Punches well above village level.

Vieux Telegraphe, Châteauneuf du Pape, 2015: It is immediately charming, with a perfume of garrigue and laurel, forest floor and eastern spice. The palate underlines the generosity of the vintage, with a lively black fruit charisma held in check by balancing natural acidity and ripe yet finely etched tannins.

Maestro Sierra Amontillado, 12 years old, NV: Amontillado combines the complexity of a well-matured Sherry with the fresh and pungent character provided by the veil of flor. It's a harmonious example of the style and will captivate the pickiest palates.

Clemens Busch Marienburg Riesling Auslese Fahrlay, 2008: Absolutely gorgeous, layered and refreshing nose of smoke, grapefruit, gingerbread, white peach and a hint of under-ripe pineapple. The wine proves beautifully refined and delicate on the palate and leaves gorgeously juicy and crispy feel in the immensely long and smoky finish.

Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve, NV: Delicate texture under the charm of white flesh fruit flavours (apples, crunchy pears). With a beautiful fluidity of a delicious lightness uniting gourmand flavours of springtime.

Billecart-Salmon Rosé, NV: An outstanding tactile sensation with a creamy smoothness, which evolves into a very noble notion with a character of wild strawberries and a slightly raspberry finish.

Domaine du Clos Frantin Gevrey-Chambertin 'les Murots', 2014: A charming and unpretentious palate, cherry and red berry fruits jostling with spice and earth notes.

Meltwater Sauvignon Blanc, 2018: A crisp and crunchy wine with none of the stereotypical characters that are associated with this wine style. Gooseberry, tropical fruit and nice acidity, with a crisp clean finish. Very enjoyable!

Chateau Potensac, 2009: Redcurrants, black raspberries, dusty earth and dried Mediterranean herbs scents with a touch of cedar chest. Medium to full-bodied, juicy and plush with nice freshness.

Beaujolais Villages, Colonge, 2018: The nose is bursting with crunchy red fruit and sweet spice. The palate emphasizes the ripe red fruit flavours backed up by good acidity and silky tannins that give way to a finish of strawberry jam notes.
