Hoffmann & Rathbone Blanc de Blancs Brut, 2011: "Made from the chardonnay grape, this sophisticated and pale golden ‘white of whites’ from this top-drawer boutique Sussex wine producer is both fragrant and intense, with hints of herbs on the palate with a good acidity and a long, refreshing finish." Herbert Hall Rosé Sparkling Wine, 2014: Pale pink with slow, lingering very fine bubbles, wiith peach blossom and white chocolate on the nose. Superbly balanced with good acidity, a gentle mousse and wild strawberry flavours. There's a real emphasis on fruit rather than autolytic/oxidative characteristics.
