Our latest barrel syndicate is one of our favourite châteaux in all of Bordeaux... Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2025. Falstaff gives it 97, Suckling 96–97, the Wine Advocate 95–97. Neal Martin calls it "definitely one of the most refined GPLs I have tasted at this stage — a complete Pauillac that is going to give immense pleasure."
Grand-Puy-Lacoste has long been the benchmark for what Pauillac looks like at the value end. The Borie family has guided this Fifth Growth since 1978, and the 2025 marks a new chapter: the first vintage made in the estate's new gravity-fed winery. The Wine Advocate's Yohan Castaing notes it "privileges balance and typicity over sheer power" — that is GPL in a sentence — and the new cellar appears to have taken that precision to another level entirely.
