1996 in Bordeaux is one of those vintages that still stops serious wine lovers in their tracks. Precise, elegant, perfectly balanced - it’s a year that rewarded patience and rewarded those who understood classic claret. Nearly three decades on, these wines are drinking beautifully, offering an extraordinary chance to taste history in the glass.

Join us at Noize, one of London’s most exciting destinations for wine and food, for an evening where Bordeaux’s finest from 1996 meets a bespoke menu designed to bring out the very best in each bottle. From the legendary First Growths to the most celebrated of the Super Seconds, every pour tells a story of a vintage that continues to define the art of fine wine.

On the table:

First Growths

  • Latour                              100 (LPB)
  • Lafite                               100 (RP)
  • Mouton Rothschild        100 (JS)
  • Haut-Brion                       97 (JA)
  • Margaux                          100 (JA)

Super Seconds

  • Pichon Lalande               98 (JA)
  • Pichon Baron                  97 (WA)

Expect an evening of elegance over power, finesse over flash, and the kind of nuance that only a truly great vintage can deliver. With carefully matched dishes enhancing the wines’ character, this isn’t just a tasting - it’s a full sensory journey through one of Bordeaux’s most iconic years.
