Kicking off with Bichot’s superb Aligoté 2022, an unusual grape that’s become increasingly popular in Burgundy, this is pure sunshine in the glass with lovely fruit and a long finish. The Bouza do Rei Gran Seleccion meanwhile is an ambitious, radiant Albariño from one of Rias Biaxas’s most pioneering wineries. Lastly though certainly not least, Antinori’s Bramito is one of Italy’s best-value Chardonnays (not just for us, ask Vinous’ Eric Guido!) that combines notes of fresh apple and citrus with a wonderfully textured palate.
