Collection: Domaine Robert Groffier

↓ Jump to the wines

One of the Cote de Nuits’ most famous names, Robert Groffier has incredible parcels in some of the most coveted crus of Burgundy, including Bonnes Mares, Clos de Beze and Chambolle-Musigny “Les Amoureuses”, in which they are the biggest single holder.

The domaine’s origins go back to the 19th century with Frederic Groffier, thought it wasn’t until Robert Groffier that the domaine started bottling its own wines. Today the estate is in the hands of Nicolas, who since 2006 has pushed quality further and further, cementing Groffier’s reputation as one of the most respected addresses in Nuits.

The Wine

Nicolas works with mainly old vines, which are farmed sustainably and harvested by hand. In the winery he uses some whole bunches depending on the vintage, with judicious new oak (up to 25% except for the Beze) and the wines are bottled without fining or filtration.

Stylistically the portfolio is all about elegance & finesse, with unmistakable purity and depth. From their excellent Passetoutgrain to the Beze & Bonnes Mares, these are beautiful wines and we are thrilled to have them on the list.
