The latest set of Art Series releases from this benchmark producer is extremely strong, with the flagship Chardonnay (96-98 points WA) potentially rivalling the standalone best ever 2018 (98 points) and the Shiraz receiving its highest ever Wine Advocate score (95 points) for a wine that is under £25 a bottle in bond.  A year behind, and from a more challenging vintage, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon still manages to rival its previous best Wine Advocate rating (97+ points), a testament to the peerless winemaking at this address.

Founded in 1974 by Denis and Tricia Horgan, who planted the first vines in what would become Margaret River's most prestigious vineyard, the estate takes its name from the nearby Cape Leeuwin, where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet, and their Art Series wines feature works by leading Australian artists on each label.  Head winemaker Tim Lovatt continues to be an inspiration, crafting wines that balance intensity and depth with precision and elegance.
