When we were first introduced to Jane Eyre in Burgundy we were amazed that she didn't have a UK importer, so were only too happy to list her wines. Whether crafting wines from the Côte-d'Or, Beaujolais, or her native Victoria in Australia, Jane's wines exude her distinct style — delicate and inviting, adorned with supple tannins and vibrant, luscious fruits. A particular favourite is her lovely Fleurie, one of the top crus in Beaujolais, and her 2021 has wonderful energy and vivacity, lots of fresh red fruit and a lovely pure finish.

Eric Boigelot is a newer discovery of ours. The domaine has been quietly making stunning wine in Volnay, Pommard, Meursault and Monthelie, and such is the quality of viticulture here that no less than illustrious Coche-Dury buys their grapes. Their Meursault Les Clous 2019 is a real triumph of the vintage, with vibrant acidity, a touch of smoke and white stone dust, spicy, sweet and supple, refreshingly green-edged.
