Bodega Los Toneles traces its roots back to 1922 when it was founded by the Armando family. The winery's distinctive architecture, inspired by the industrial revolution, beautifully captures its vision of harmonizing technology and tradition.

Originally named Armando Hermanos, it soon earned the moniker Bodega de los Toneles, or "winery of the tuns" due to the prominent presence of enormous French oak barrels used for aging its precious wines. After eighty years, in 2002, the Millán family acquired the winery, breathing new life into its vintage spirit while embracing a modern approach and making significant investments to restore the estate to its former glory.

Situated within the city of Mendoza, Bodega Toneles stands out as one of the few wineries located in this urban landscape. However, its vineyards are strategically scattered across various regions of the province. Despite the desert-like climate that characterizes Mendoza, the Andes Mountains provide ample fresh water through snow melt, ensuring an abundant supply for irrigation. Additionally, the dramatic temperature fluctuations between day and night, a hallmark of the region, contribute to intensified aromas, heightened freshness, and vibrant colours in the grapes.
