Domaine de Rochegrès is the Beaujolais wing of the Albert Bichot portfolio, comprising 5.2 hectares in the esteemed Moulin-à-Vent cru. The vines are situated at the eponymous Rochegrès single vineyard, named after the local granite (roche) in the soils.
The Wine
Bichot’s skill in the Cote d’Or is clearly on display here, and Rochegrès’ Moulin-à-Vent is up there with the best from appellation, invariably showing finesse and purity, with excellent fruit concentration and focus.
