The Cacheux family's journey into winemaking can be traced back to the late 1800s when they first began cultivating vines in the Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges areas.

However, it wasn't until the 1930s that Jacques Cacheux, the eponymous founder of the domaine, truly established the family's presence in the Burgundian wine world. Patrice Cacheux, Jacques’ son, has run the domaine since 1994, joined latterly by his son Charles. As an aside Charles’ sister Marianne is one half of the dynamic duo Pierre and Marianne Duroché and some of their successful maison wines have fruit sourced from Cacheux’ holdings... This a fabulous new grower on our portfolio - some of the best value wines from Vosne we’ve found to date.

The Wine

The domaine's vineyards span across some of the most coveted appellations in Burgundy, including the iconic Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites. The soils here are rich with history and complexity, contributing to the distinctive character of the wines.

The family embraces traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques, including manual harvesting and gentle pressing, allowing the grapes to express their unique terroir. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, where the wines mature gracefully, gaining complexity and structure.
