Chassagne-Montrachet is white Burgundy's great workhorse village — less fashionable than Puligny, perhaps, but producing whites of real character and depth, and at prices that still make sense. Benoît Girardin is a quietly serious producer working from the heart of the village, farming with care and letting the limestone do the talking.

The 2022 vintage brought generous sunshine and early harvest conditions, giving the wines a rounder, more immediately expressive profile than usual without sacrificing the chalky backbone that defines this appellation.
