Cask sample. Crackling texture with lots of energy. Fruit is ripe enough. Quite an emphatic impression on the palate. With the depth of Chambertin but more ethereal. And, again, a light note of bitterness on the end.
92-94pts Jasper Morris
Fairly dense crimson in colour. There is a solid weight of fruit on the nose, dark raspberry with some strawberry too. Some depth to this. A mix of mineral and floral for Jérôme while I find something earthier. Firm tannins at the finish but plenty of fruit to surround them. Drink from 2028-2036. Tasted: November 2022
93pts Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
Fairly dark in colour, the 2021 Latricières has rich, ripe blackberry fruit with accents of mineral, leather, and earth and an undercurrent of dark chocolate. The texture is firm and tannic, with balanced acidity and good length. This wine is solid and exemplary, and if it lacks the frisson this bottling often has, it has rewarding ripeness and length and should improve with age. It is produced from the domaine-owned parcels, which total 1.25 hectares.
Drinking window: 2025 - 2040
