Pierre Meurgey, a fourth-generation winemaker, is now bottling remarkable wines under his own name and is just beginning to gain recognition. His recent 2020 vintage received high praise from Jasper Morris.
His father, Henri, was a highly respected courtier and oenologist in the Côte d'Or, admired by all growers. Pierre, known for crafting high-quality wines that are designed to age well, is definitely also a winemaker to watch.

What the critics say:
"Lovely lemon and lime colour. Rather an attractive bouquet with intensity, and a well integrated oak, there being one new barrel in three. Quite firm on the second half of the palate, the barrel showing through, some energy across the middle, greengage notes, a little bit of citrus but predominantly white fruit. Tasted: October 2021."
