White Burgundy from Savigny-lès-Beaune doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves — overshadowed by the village's reds and by its more famous neighbours in Meursault and Pernand-Vergelesses. Benoit Girardin's Vieilles Vignes blanc puts the record straight.

Old Chardonnay vines on the village's limestone-rich slopes produce a wine of genuine presence: broad, textured, with orchard fruit and a saline, stony edge that keeps the whole thing alive and focused.
