We've been looking to get Amélie and Charles Sparr's wines back into our range for a while now. We know them well, having even sat down together over a rather succulent Chinese meal where their wines showed so well, it settled the matter entirely.
 
The 'Célébration' Crémant has fine mousse, bright fruit and just enough yeasty depth. The Sensation Pinot Gris 2022 sits beautifully between aperitif and main course, and the 'Intuition' Gewürztraminer 2021 delivers lychee and rose petal without tipping into sweetness. The 'Liberté' orange wine — skin-contact Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Riesling — is grippy, savoury and genuinely exciting. The 'Jardin d'Eden' Pinot Noir 2024 is elegant, mineral-driven and a reminder that Alsace does more than whites. And the Grand Cru Schoenenbourg 'Revelation' 2023 is the one we are most impatient to get through the door — limestone soils, citrus-bright acidity, emerging honeyed depth and 96 points from James Suckling.
