Collection: Domaine du Clos Frantin

The Cote-de-Nuits arm of Albert Bichot, Domaine du Clos Frantin offers great value, benchmark Burgundies. Located at the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges in a beautiful 18th-century estate, over 50% of their 7.3 hectares of vineyards are Premier and Grand Cru sites.

Clos Frantin has always been an insider choice of Head Wine Guru Tom (who always has a few magnums of the village Vosne-Romanee to hand!) and has that rare confluence of quality and price, something increasingly hard to get hold of in Burgundy. It’s worth noting that the Domaine has the largest plantings of Vosne’s top Premier Cru "Malconsorts," one of the first in line for elevation to Grand Cru status, yet it remains a fiftieth the cost of a bottle of neighbour La Tâche!

The Wine

Clos Frantin has been fully certified organic since 2018 and makes a thrilling range of different cuvees across the Cote-de-Nuits, from village Nuits-Saint-Georges to Grands Echezeaux and Chambertin! Our personal favourites include the knock-out Malconsorts, which is always heavily oversubscribed every year, as well as the benchmark village Vosne. The Grands Crus are all exceptional, if you’re lucky enough to get one!
