Château Poesia represents the new guard of Saint-Émilion, where modern precision meets Right Bank elegance. This 2025 vintage showcases the estate's mastery of the Merlot-Cabernet Franc partnership, delivering a wine that's both mineral-driven and expressive.

This is Saint-Émilion with real personality, ready to drink from 2030 but built to reward patience until 2055.

What the critics say:

95-97/100Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider

"Flowers, mint, black cherries, forest leaves, and licorice are at play in the aromatic profile. The palate is vibrant, expressive, and mineral-driven. The wine has freshness, length, and complexity. The finish packs in herbs, pepper, cherries, plums, and chocolate with a refreshing, minty edge on the backend of the finish. The wine blends 70% Merlot, with 30% Cabernet Franc. 14% ABV, 3.4 pH. Picking took place September 10 - September 13. Yields were 25 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2029-2055."

94-96/100Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2025 Poesia is stellar. Limestone soils on a cooler terroir vis-à-vis Barde-Haut, along with a higher presence of Cabernet Franc, yield a Saint-Émilion that blends richness and saline-infused energy. Dark red/purplish fruit, rose petal, crushed rocks, sage and mint race across the palate. This is a terrific effort from Hélène Garcin and Patrice Lévêque. "

OUR GROWERS

Château Poesia

Acquired by Hélène Garcin and Patrice Lévêque in 2014, Château Poesia was formerly known as Château Haut Villet. Its name is a nod to the family's Argentine estate in Mendoza, where they cultivate old, ungrafted Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1935.

A prominent figure on Bordeaux's Right Bank, Hélène Garcin has steadily built an impressive portfolio of properties, including Château Barde-Haut and Clos l'Église, bringing the same attention to detail and ambition to Château Poesia that has earned her estates such a strong reputation.
