- Red Still
- Cabernet Franc
- Organic
Yannick Amirault founded his own Domaine in 1977 with 3.9 hectares of the Malgagnes vineyard, which he inherited from his grandfather. In 2003, his son Benoit joined him, and today the estate spans 20 hectares, with two-thirds in Bourgueil and one-third in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, spread across 25 separate parcels. The Domaine has been certified organic since 2009, and no chemicals or herbicides have been used since 1997. The vines, which range from 45 to 50 years old, are aged in a mix of barriques and demi-muids.
"La Source" comes from the estate’s sandy and gravelly soils, with élevage taking place in foudre for 7–10 months. This cuvée matures earlier than its “Cote 50” counterpart, but it possesses a bit more body, offering a richer, more structured profile.
