"A vibrant mix of red and black fruits, lifted by zesty acidity. Chalky minerality emerges clearly on the finish, giving both freshness and drive. Classic Cazetiers energy."
Stewart Pryce, Honest Grapes Wine Club Manager

Domaine Henri Magnien continues to prove why Charles Magnien is firmly established as one of Gevrey-Chambertin’s rising stars. The 2024 vintage is a clear success here, with exceptional definition between cuvées and a masterclass in terroir expression.

The classics shine as ever: Cazetiers and Lavaux St-Jacques deliver depth, structure, and serious ageing potential, while Estournelles St-Jacques offers a more lifted, elegant expression. But the real curiosity is Gevrey-Chambertin XV – a one-off bottling born from reduced yields, blending fruit from 15 different lieux-dits into a remarkably coherent and charming whole. It’s not a style we’ll see again, and it comes highly recommended.

This is Magnien firing on all cylinders, with wines that reward both immediate enjoyment and long-term patience.

What the critics say:

92/100Neal Martin, Vinous

"The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has more red berry fruit than the Lavaux, slightly earthy red fruit, bay leaf and light truffle aromas. Quite "contained" at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fresh and smooth, white pepper and thyme emerging towards the refined and quite persistent finish. Very fine."
