"The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru has two-thirds whole cluster fruit and matures in 40% new oak. It has a refined and quite backward bouquet that demands encouragement, light sous-bois and crushed limestone scents percolating through the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit. A firm grip in the mouth with a light oyster shell influence defining what is a very detailed and persistent finish. Very good potential here - superb."
