Prieuré Roch is one of Burgundy's most compelling and uncompromising estates, founded by the late Henry-Frédéric Roch, co-gérant of Romanée-Conti, who farmed his own vineyards with a biodynamic rigour that bordered on the philosophical. This Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru is everything the appellation promises and a little more besides: dark, serious, and shot through with that iron-and-violet quality that sets the best NSG apart from the softer charms of its neighbours.

The 2019 vintage gave Burgundy generous ripeness without sacrificing structure, and in Prieuré Roch's hands that translates to a wine of real density and drive.
