If you are not attuned to Domaine Guiberteau, Romain Guiberteau learnt his craft under the legendary Nady Foucault of Clos Rougeard and transformed his family estate into one of the benchmark Domaines of Saumur and which attract a loyal cult following every release. His wines, sourced from exceptional sites around Brézé, are among the purest expressions with painstakingly low Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc yields you'll find in the Loire today. With minimal intervention, his Chenin’s display Burgundy-like texture with Riesling-like tension and Chablis-like minerality while maintaining their unique Loire identity, his Cabernet Francs show similar elegance.
