Founded over hundred years ago, Georges Lignier has some of the greatest vineyards in and around Morey-Saint-Denis. Jasper Morris observes “one of the strengths of the 16ha domaine is to have mature vineyards… replanted systematically in the 1950s with good vine material, not clones.

The domaine is led by Benoit Stehly, nephew of Georges Lignier, who worked for a decade alongside his uncle, before assuming control of the work in both the vineyard and the cellar in 2008.
