Les Perrières is one of those Premier Cru sites that leans into minerality and finesse, and Albert Bichot handles it with a sure touch. 2018 was a sunny, ripe year in Burgundy, delivering healthy yields and beautifully mature fruit - but in the best hands, like here, the wines have kept their shape and energy.

In the glass, you’ll find ripe citrus, white peach and pear, with hints of hazelnut and a gentle touch of oak spice. There’s a lovely textural roundness, but it’s neatly balanced by Puligny’s trademark tension and a fine mineral line running through the core. A classic Puligny with a little extra breadth, thanks to the warm and generous vintage.

What the critics say:

91-93/100 ♥Allen Meadows, Burghound

"An attractively layered nose features notes of citrus, acacia blossom, lemon rind and an admirably subtle hint of wood. There is a lovely mouthfeel to the caressing, cool and detailed middle weight flavors that possess a lovely underlying tension as well as good mid-palate fat before culminating in a long, youthfully austere and well-balanced finale. This should be reasonably approachable young but reward mid-term cellaring too. *Outstanding*"
