Maison Albert Bichot has been passed down for 6 generations since 1831 and today it manages individual Domaines rather than housing all sites under one property.
Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Domaine du Pavillon is the organic project in Pommard and the jewel in the crown Domaine du Clos Frantin in NSG make up the main three out of six. Having supported the team for a number of vintages we have been able to acquire decent allocations across all three and are thrilled to be able to offer their top wines.
Drinking window: 2024 - 2034
What the critics say:
"Pure beautiful purple, with the nose of exceptional hedonistic class associated with this vineyard. One can detect the remains of a little reduction in the mouth, which holds it back a fraction at this stage, but this is still a really good wine underneath and will be thoroughly exciting. It has the Malconsorts magic. Drink from 2026-2032"
"Here too there is a touch of crushed leaf character though in this case it is more subtle on the pretty and layered aromas of Asian-style tea, plum and black cherry scents. There is both more volume and power to the delicious and caressing but decidedly punchy flavors that culminate in a robust, powerful and serious finale. As is usually the case, this is built-to-age and a wine that's going to need at least some. **Outstanding**"
