Often nicknamed the “Lafite of the Languedoc”, Mas de Daumas Gassac Rouge has built a reputation as one of France’s great wines outside Bordeaux and Burgundy. First planted in the 1970s by Aimé Guibert on a cool, well-drained valley floor near Aniane, the vineyards sit on unique glacial soils that give the wine its signature freshness and complexity.
The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and rare varieties. The result is a wine of remarkable depth and character: dark berries, spice, cedar, and herbs framed by fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. It’s structured enough to age gracefully for decades, yet approachable when young thanks to its bright fruit and lift.
A true trailblazer, Mas de Daumas Gassac proves that the Languedoc can produce wines of world-class pedigree and individuality.
