Arnoux-Lachaux's 2022 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru opens with an alluring bouquet of violets, red and black fruits, layered with hints of anise, earth, and a whisper of smoke. On the palate it’s medium to full-bodied, beautifully precise, and seductively spiced, offering richness and harmony in equal measure. With its depth, length, and sheer elegance, this is a spellbinding expression of Romanée-Saint-Vivant.
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, founded in 1858 in Vosne-Romanée, has long been a name to watch in Burgundy. In 1995, Pascal Lachaux and Florence Arnoux took the reins, renaming the domaine in 2007 to reflect their leadership.
Their son, Charles Lachaux, brought a new energy when he joined in 2011, and since taking over winemaking in 2015, he’s introduced bold innovations such as whole-cluster fermentations and gentler oak use, elevating the domaine's wines to international acclaim.
