Bodegas Señorío de Arana is a family-run Rioja estate with deep roots; the Santiago family have been growing grapes in the region for over a century, although the winery itself was established in the 1970s. Today they farm around 100 hectares across Labastida and San Vicente de la Sonsierra, working with classic varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo on the region’s chalky, silty soils.

In the winery, the approach is precise and plot-driven. Each parcel is harvested and vinified separately, with strict selection before fermentation. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, only the best lots are chosen for ageing in oak, typically for 15 to 30 months depending on the style.
