We’re thrilled to announce our next Syndicate: Siepi 2023, from our dear friend Giovanni Mazzei. Already hailed as one of the great Tuscan wines of the September Releases with 97 points from Jane Anson, each share (£1,745) secures the equivalent of 30 bottles (22.5L) in your preferred mix of bottles, magnums, jeroboams (3L), or methuselahs (6L). 

What makes this Syndicate truly extraordinary, however, are the exclusive benefits offered to members: personalised wooden cases and back labels, a private vineyard visit, a five-vintage Siepi tasting with the winemaker, and an exclusive Syndicate event at the Castello di Fonterutoli. Members also enjoy an overnight stay at the Castello Wine Resort and a celebratory meal at the Osteria di Fonterutoli. This is more than an allocation; it’s your seat at the table of one of Tuscany’s great estates!

As for the wine itself, Anson highlights its “characteristic generosity… baked raspberries, blood orange, concentrated and opulent… delicious.” With reduced yields after tricky flowering and ageing in 75% new oak, the 2023 is Siepi at its most vivid and expressive, produced by the Mazzei family on their historic 6ha organically farmed vineyard in Castellina in Chianti, now into its 25th generation.
