Honest Grapes’ first Tuscan Syndicate centres on a true gem of our portfolio: Castello di Ama Haiku 2020.

A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, Haiku is elegant, vibrant, and every bit as refined as Tuscany’s most famous SuperTuscans — at a fraction of the price, with 96 points from Antonio Galloni, it comfortably stands alongside names like Tignanello and Sassicaia. Thanks to owner Lorenza Sebasti, a full barrel has been reserved exclusively for our members.

To make things even more special, Ama has just reopened its restaurant and restored suites at Villa Ricucci, where Syndicate members can enjoy a complimentary tasting and exclusive booking discounts.

What the critics say:

96/100Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2020 Haiku, the etate’s Sangiovese/Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend , is once again impressive. Dark, explosive and layered, the 2020 delivers the goods. It’s a wine that offers a mix of regional character with an international flair. One of the more expressive wines in the range, Haiku shows the more exuberant side of the year off in spades. Time in the glass releases the Franc aromatics very nicely."

OUR GROWERS

Castello di Ama

Castello di Ama's origins trace back to Etruscan times, a testament to the enduring connection between this land and human creativity. Ama was owned by the Firidolfi family during the Holy Roman Empire. The medieval castle that once graced these grounds fell during the Aragonese invasions in the 15th century. In the early 1700s, new villas rose from the same stones, marking the birth of the Castello di Ama estate.
