We’re excited to launch the Yjar 2021 Syndicate, with just 10 shares available of this extraordinary Rioja. Awarded a rare double 100 points from Jane Anson and James Suckling, the 2021 is widely regarded as the greatest Yjar to date – a spellbinding single-vineyard wine that ranks among the world’s finest.
Beyond the wine, Members will enjoy exclusive benefits: a personalised strip label, a tour, tasting and syndicate dinner at the estate with a guest, and an overnight stay at Remelluri or a nearby hotel – experiences rarely offered to collectors.
With only 10,500 bottles produced (just 35 barrels), this is one of the smallest and most highly praised vintages yet. Jane Anson highlights its “energy, precision and savoury, mouthwatering redcurrant and cranberry fruits” while James Suckling calls it “exceptional… with depth, persistence and an incredibly stylish profile.”
With such limited availability and Telmo Rodríguez’s remarkable generosity in opening his estate to Syndicate Members, demand will be strong. We recommend acting quickly to secure a share.

What the critics say:
"An excellent vintage in Rioja, and the promise of Yjar is delivering a totally knockout wine here. Impossible not to smile when tasting this, so much energy and precision, savoury, mouthwatering redcurrant, cranberry, blueberry fruits, with waves of dried herbs, lavender, and crushed rose petals. Juicy, moreish, building in power across the palate. Tasted at the estate and again in Bordeaux. Telmo Rodriguez winemaker of this 3.8ha plot set within his family Remelluri estate in the foothills of the Sierra de Toloño in Rioja Alavesa. Harvest October 14 to 24, fermentation with native yeasts, open top wooden vats."
"Crushed dark berries are complemented by violets and underbrush with a gentle touch of tobacco. The sophisticated palate shows exceptional definition and polished tannins that are seamlessly integrated into a core of vibrant, restrained fruit. It’s all held together by a linear freshness characteristic of the vintage. This wine has depth, persistence and an incredibly stylish profile. Firm yet with an underlying tenderness. Beautiful now but will continue to evolve. Drink or hold."
