Enzo Boglietti’s Barolo Brandini comes from one of La Morra’s highest and most panoramic crus, perched above the town with sweeping views over the Langhe.

Enzo and his brother Gianni switched from dairy farming in the late 1980s to wine production, using the 3ha of vines belonging to Enzo’s grandfather. A further 19ha have been inherited through Enzo’s mother. A leading modernist in the early 90s, Enzo was an exponent of smaller, newer barriques, and shorter, warmer fermentations, giving the wines rich, fruit-driven profiles with softer tannins.

"Readers who have not tasted these wines in some time owe it to themselves to do so, as quality has exploded in the last few years."
Antonio Galloni, Vinous

What the critics say:

92/100Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2021 Barolo Brandini is bright and lifted, with lovely energy and all the mid-weight structure that is typical of this sector in La Norra. White pepper, chalk, mint and dried herbs add lovely aromatic top notes."

OUR GROWERS

Enzo Boglietti

Based in the charming village of La Morra, right in the heart of Barolo country, Enzo Boglietti is a true family affair—one of those quietly brilliant estates that wine lovers in the know just love to champion. The story begins in 1991, when Enzo officially founded the winery, building on a modest 3-hectare inheritance from his grandfather, Matteo. Since then, the Boglietti family has expanded their holdings to 22 hectares, with vines scattered across some of the Langhe’s most coveted sites—from Barolo and Monforte d’Alba to Serralunga, Sinio, and beyond.
