Caiarossa is a Tuscan gem tucked into the hills of Riparbella, not far from the coast. The estate was founded in the late 1990s with the vision of producing wines that balance international appeal with a deep expression of Tuscan terroir. From the start, Caiarossa has been farmed biodynamically, with a focus on harmony between vineyard and nature. Even the winery itself was built according to the principles of feng shui, designed to create a sense of flow and energy through every stage of winemaking.

The flagship wine, Caiarossa, is a Bordeaux-inspired blend that brings together Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and smaller amounts of other varieties like Petit Verdot and Sangiovese. 

Caiarossa may not have the centuries-old history of some Tuscan estates, but its philosophy and attention to detail have quickly made it one of the region’s most exciting names.

"A fabulous Caiarossa worth seeking out. Perfumed and floral - lovely aromatic expression with salty black liquorice, tobacco, tapenade, milk chocolate and dried strawberries. Tangy and zingy, the mouthwatering acidity joins an iron-touch on the tongue that lingers for a long time. Racy and clearly powerful but well constructed with an enjoyable bitter, spice and gorgeous saline finish - a whip of sea breeze accompanying the red fruits and dried herbs and spices. Excellent youthful vibrancy on show with and energy and focus. Tasted twice and equally impressive both times. Biodynamic viticulture and organic winemaking. 3.48pH. Ageing 14 months, 25% new oak and 7% botte which is new. 12% Merlot, 7% Sangiovese, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Grenache complete the blend."
