L'Extravagant de Doisy-Daëne was created in 1990. This rare and exceptional wine is the fruit of the experiment carried out by Denis Dubourdieu. He wanted to work on making a cuvée from a Sauvignon Blanc varietal that had been affected by noble rot and had reached an extreme stage.
The grapes are harvested at the beginning of November showcased a high sugar content, a high alcohol potential and very concentrated grapes. Since 1990, only very fine vintages have been produced, and in strictly confidential quantities.

The nose erupts with vibrant grapefruit, lemonade, and lime cordial scents, leading to suggestions of clover honey, chamomile tea, and coriander seed with a waft of chalk dust. The palate is rich, concentrated, and decadent, with beautiful freshness and an epically long finish. An incredible achievement that Denis would be proud of."
