Club Pontet Labrie Right Bank Paulée Dinner

The second in a regular series of BYO dinners for Club Pontet Labrie members; we were pleased to be joined by Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse, co-owner of and ninth-generation winemaker at, Château Beauséjour.

Appropriately as our acclaimed single vineyard Pontet Labrie from Jonathan Maltus is situated on the plateau of Saint Émilion, this dinner focussed on the wines of Bordeaux’ Right Bank, with attendees asked to bring a cherished bottle from their collection to share with fellow guests*.

This evening we were delighted to welcome Joséphine, who together with Prisca Courtin (of the Clarins group), is working to ensure Beauséjour (formerly Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse) is entering a new phase of evolution, intent on revealing the authentic identity of this exceptional terroir. The chateau has been a recipient of several 100-point ratings, including just recently a potentially perfect score (98-100) from Jane Anson for the 2022 release, and it is a privilege to have Joséphine present two vintages of Beauséjour during the evening and to pepper our conversation with her insights and experience.
