Gusbourne, Blanc De Blancs, 2018

Based primarily in Kent, it's hard to believe that Gusbourne only started planting vines in 2004. Farming 60ha in Appledore, with a smaller estate in West Sussex, Gusbourne work with clones from Burgundy and champion low-intervention, sustainable farming, hand-picking the grapes during harvest and using rigorous selection at the sorting table to ensure only the best quality fruit makes it into the final wine. They have been awarded IWC English Wine Producer of the Year a whopping three times (more than anyone else), and are the recipients of hundreds of medals, including a few fabled Decanter platinum awards.

Our Blanc de Blancs typifies the linear purity of this classic style. We select our finest lots of Chardonnay that exhibit natural minerality, ensuring that the wine has both finesse and elegance as well as the requisite qualities for extended ageing.
