Inglenook’s Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic expression of Napa Valley elegance from one of the region’s most historic estates.
Since 2016 the winemaking has been under the watchful eye of Philippe Bascaules who has taken the estate to whole new heights. Philippe cut his teeth right out of university with a job at one Château Margaux, eventually making his way up to Estate Director. This wealth of knowledge and prowess has been carefully implemented at Inglenook and the results are simply stunning.
What the critics say:
"Concentrated, muscular, leafy and fragrant, this is ripped with blueberry, blackberry, crushed rocks, campfire, eucalyptus and baking spice. Director of winemaking Philippe Bascaules, Todd Devincenzi winemaker."
"Graphite, pencil lead, blackcurrant and dark liquorice scents. Full and ripe, this has tons of personality from the get go, lovely acidity counters the concentration with a delicate presentation of the tannins that extends the wine in a direct line. Well constructed with precision. I like the reserved nature, power but lots of fruit at the fore with freshness a key component. A success and so drinkable. Owner Francis Ford Coppola, director Todd Devincenzi, winemaker Philippe Bascaules."
