Pol Couronne has long been one of our favourite under-the-radar Champagne houses. Founded in 1887 by Pol Auguste Couronne and now run by Jean-Baptiste Prévost, the House combines precision, freshness, and layered complexity across every cuvée.

The 2008 Oenothèque is a perfect example: 50% Chardonnay from Avize and 50% Pinot Noir from Bouzy and Ambonnay, aged on the lees for 15 years with a touch of oak for extra depth. The result is a racy, chiselled Champagne, full of energy, tension, and minerality – a wine for both now and decades of enjoyment.
