"Pollen, clementine, melon, subtle pineapple, mineral and layered, creamy, rounded finish."
Ksenia Pashkova, Club Merchandiser
January’s heavy rainfall made 2024 a tricky year in the Côte de Beaune, but careful vineyard management and perfect timing at harvest delivered a very successful vintage. Whites were picked mid-September with healthy acidity and precise ripeness, while reds were harvested under warm, dry conditions. Philippe Colin’s philosophy of minimal intervention in barrel shines through, producing wines that are elegant, fresh, and true to their sites. Yields were moderate, and while the whites are approachable early, the Premier Crus and Grand Crus offer structure and aging potential.
This year, Philippe Colin balances subtlety with energy: the whites show bright stone fruit, citrus, and floral notes with textured, precise finishes, while the reds are expressive, perfumed, and velvety, with fine-grained tannins and pure fruit character.
What the critics say:
"Pale lemon colour. The bouquet displays an extra degree of power while staying within the style of the vintage. The grapes are ripe enough. Just teasing out those extra subtleties. One 500-litre barrel, new, so you do get an extra lick of oak at the finish, but the fruit will handle that as it ages. A nice lick of acidity too and an ultra-long finish, by which time the oak is falling away. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Oct 2025."
