2024 marks the year of our 10th Anniversary and we are planning a calendar of thrilling events & wine offers, the first of which I'm pleased to reveal today. Our dear friend Anselmo has kindly shared a special parcel of Vette di San Leonardo for Club Members, his knock-out alpine white, so we are able to drop the price by a whopping 20%, making this gem only £86 per case. From an estate known as the "Sassicaia of the North", this is a rare treat indeed!
A monastery of over 1000 years heritage (Roman frescoes adorn the old chapel), for over 3 centuries San Leonardo, at the foot of the Dolomites, has served as the residence of the Marquis Guerrieri Gonzaga family, its proud custodians.
Whilst its red Bordeaux grape blends are the most vaunted in Northern Italy their Sauvignon Blanc, a more recent addition to the range, has proven to be a perfect balance between the sophistication of Sancerre and the exuberance of Marlborough.
