Le Clos comes from 15 small clay-limestone plots in Saumur-Champigny. It really shows off the fresh, bright fruit of Cabernet Franc, with those subtle floral and spicy notes that give the wine its delicacy and lift.

Clos Rougeard has long been one of the most respected names in France, its reputation built quietly over decades of careful, thoughtful winemaking. Brothers Charly and Nady Foucault were early champions of organic farming in the Loire, well before it was common, and their minimal-intervention style in the cellar set the benchmark for what Saumur-Champigny can achieve.
