Romain Taupenot of Domaine Taupenot-Merme is one of the greatest names in Nuits-Saint-Georges. We sampled these wines recently at HG HQ, and both were excellent. The 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Georges was nothing short of breathtaking, and the Les Vignerondes was glorious in its own right - a beautifully open, expressive wine with sweet, evolved notes of red plums and strawberries.
